TNA Wrestling President Addresses Big Title Change WWE

TNA Wrestling President Carlos Silva has addressed the TNA World Championship changing hands at Bound For Glory.

The main event of the October 12 event saw Mike Santana challenge for NXT star Trick Williams’ TNA World Title.

Santana was ultimately victorious, pinning Williams to bring the company’s world title back to TNA Wrestling.

TNA President Carlos Silva has now taken to Twitter to comment on this title change, sending his congratulations to Santana.

Re-sharing TNA Wrestling’s post about Santana’s title win, Silva wrote:

Congrats Mike. Great to have a Puerto Rican champ And a Puerto Rican President at the same time. Amazing. @Santana_Proud

Santana’s title win ended Trick Williams’ 140 day reign with the gold. Williams became champion in May 25, defeating Joe Hendry for the title at NXT Battleground.

A WWE star still has possession of the TNA Knockouts World Championship, with Kelani Jordan defeating Indi Hartwell at Bound For Glory to retain that championship.
