An update has emerged on the status of Josh Alexander, following the former world champion announcing that he was quitting TNA Wrestling.
After losing to Mike Santana in an I Quit match at Sunday’s (January 19) Genesis event, Alexander announced that he had not only quit the match, but had also quit TNA.
With Alexander’s TNA contract set to expire on February 15, this moment seemed to mark Genesis as Alexander’s final TNA appearance.
However this became uncertain after TNA shared a backstage segment during which Santino Marella told Alexander that he was contractually obliged to attend this week’s iMPACT show.
PWInsider has provided an update on the situation, reporting that Alexander is still scheduled for this week’s iMPACT tapings in San Antonio, Texas.
The report noted that these are expected to be his final dates with TNA Wrestling, unless he changes his mind and signs a new contract with TNA Wrestling.
Alexander’s wife Jade Chung recently confirmed her own departure from the company, which you can read more about right here.
