TNA Wrestling Star Quits The Company

TNA Wrestling Star Quits The Company TNA

A former TNA World Champion made a shocking announcement at Genesis, announcing that he has quit TNA Wrestling.

There has been a lot of speculation about the future of Josh Alexander, with Alexander previously stating that his contract with TNA Wrestling is set to expire on February 15.

Alexander got the wrestling world talking at Sunday’s (January 19) TNA Genesis event, where he lost to Mike Santana in an I Quit match.

The former TNA World Champion ultimately conceded after Santana threatened to curb stomp his head onto the steel steps.

Following the match, Alexander took to the mic to call Santana the new standard bearer of TNA Wrestling.

He then stated that not only does he quit the match, he also quits TNA. You can watch a clip of this moment below.

In a new update, TNA has now shared a backstage video of Director of Authority Santino Marella informing Alexander that he is still under contract and must appear on Thursday’s iMPACT episode.

Alexander walked off from Marella, who wasn’t entirely convinced that he would be showing up on the upcoming episode.

Mike Johnson of PWInsider reports that Alexander is still set to become a free agent in February, indicating that he has not signed a new deal with the company.

Alexander’s wife Jade Chung recently confirmed her own departure from the company, which you can read more about right here.
