After his recent confirmation of his status with the company, TNA Wrestling star Sami Callihan has been promoted to a new backstage role.
As previously reported, Sami Callihan stated that he will remain with TNA Wrestling “for the foreseeable future” in an interview with Tru Heel Heat Wrestling.
Fightful Select (subscription required) provided an update, noting that Callihan is working in the live events department in addition to serving as an on-screen talent.
Dave Meltzer confirmed this news, taking to social media to comment on TNA Wrestling talent were informed of the move for Callihan on October 22. He wrote:
TNA talent was told today the company has hired Christy Hemme to be head of marketing and Sami Callihan on the live events side.
Sami Callihan will compete in the Call Your Shot Gauntlet this Saturday, October 26 at TNA Bound For Glory.
Outside of Callihan’s new role, TNA Wrestling also welcomed back former WWE star Christy Hemme as head of marketing, which you can read here.
