Following rumors about an AEW debut, former TNA World Champion Sami Callihan has confirmed his contract status with the company.
At TNA Rebellion 2024 in April, Sami Callihan made a return to the promotion after becoming a free agent in late 2023. Callihan has been a mainstay for TNA Wrestling since signing in 2017. He is a former TNA World Champion and has been involved in many high profile feuds.
After becoming a free agent in September 2023, Callihan spent time in MLW and continued to run his independent promotion, Wrestling REVOLVER.
Speaking with Tru Heel Heat Wrestling, Sami Callihan was asked about his status with TNA Wrestling. He answered:
“I’ll be there for the foreseeable future. We came to an agreement on a deal and I’m extremely happy working for TNA.”
“I could see myself retiring at TNA and working behind the scenes. I love TNA Wrestling.”
“As much as people talk about, ‘I want to go to Japan, I want to work for WWE.’ TNA was always on a pedestal for me, and being part of that is a dream come true.”
