A former TNA Wrestling champion has revealed that they are stepping back after their recent loss at Slammiversary.
The July 20 edition of Slammiversary saw TNA X Division Champion Moose defend the title against Leon Slater.
Slater would defeat Moose to become the youngest TNA Wrestling star to hold the X Division Championship, with WWE’s AJ Styles endorsing the new champion after the match.
With Slater now at the top of the X Division, Moose leaving it in his hands and has stated he will “take a step back” in an Instagram post explaining:
“I’ve accomplished almost everything here at TNA Wrestling.
“Leon Slater, I have the ultimate respect for you, and the X Division is now in your hands… SHOW THEM HELL
“For me, it’s time to take a step back… Get healthy and see what’s next…
“l’ll be back soon. TRUSTTHESYSTEM”
Moose made his TNA Wrestling debut in July 2016 and would go on to be a two-time world champion, along with holding the X Division Championship.
Since January 2024, he has been the leader of The System, with Brian Myers, Eddie Edwards, Alisha Edwards and JDC serving as members of the faction.
