TNA Wrestling Star Teases WWE Appearance

TNA Wrestling Star Teases WWE Appearance WWE/TNA Wrestling

A TNA Wrestling star has teased an appearance at a WWE show, suggesting tensions between both companies are going beyond the upcoming special.

The tensions between TNA Wrestling and NXT have been simmering over the past few weeks, with last week’s showdown leading to tonight’s WWE special.

While WWE Showdown takes place on October 7 and Team TNA takes on Team NXT, a former X Division Champion has teased an upcoming appearance.

Between televised shows, NXT runs regular live shows, in a similar vein to that of the main roster, with Detroit playing home to one such event this Friday.

The Detroit NXT live show has caught the attention of Trey Miguel, thanks to his proximity to the The Masonic Temple host venue, warning in a tweet:

“.@WWENXT is in Detroit Friday.. you know less than an hour away from my house.,, 👀”

Miguel was last seen in a WWE ring on the September 3 episode of NXT last year, with The Rascalz (Miguel & Zachary Wentz) defeating Hank & Tank and Gallus (Mark Coffey & Wolfgang) in an NXT Tag Team Number 1 Contender match.

The Rascalz went on to face Fraxiom (Axiom & Nathan Fraser) in January of this year on TNA iMPACT, but were unable to unseat the NXT Tag Team Champions.

The current NXT Tag Team Champions, DarkState (Dion Lennox & Osiris Griffin) defend the title against TNA World Tag Team Champions The Hardys in a Winners Take All match on Showdown.

Elsewhere on the WWE Showdown card, Ethan Page will defend his NXT North American Championship against Mustafa Ali.
