A TNA Wrestling star has teased returning to WWE’s main roster for a championship match, following recent crossover appearances.
With WWE and TNA Wrestling in a partnership, much of the focus has been on NXT, although the main roster could see title defenses.
That’s according to TNA Wrestling’s Matt Hardy, who made the comments in a recent interview, believing that it could happen in the near future.
Having recently appeared on NXT and defended their TNA World Tag Team Championship against Fraxiom at Roadblock in March 2025, Matt Hardy has revealed that there’s more in the future of The Hardy Boyz in WWE.
During a recent interview with SHAK Wrestling, Matt Hardy would state that the partnership between companies was beneficial before going on to respond to a question about the future of the TNA World Tag Team Championships on the main WWE roster, saying:
“I think there’s a very strong possibility you end up seeing that before it’s all said and done.”
The question wasn’t just limited to WWE Raw & SmackDown but included the possibility of a match taking place on a main roster PLE.
Jeff Hardy would also reflect on the NXT Roadblock match, which saw The Hardys retain the TNA World Tag Team Championships, saying:
“I’ll start by saying this, I meditate a lot out in nature these days, along with that, I kind of manifest things a little bit, and naturally, where I would like my wrestling career to go. Man, I’ve totally been manifesting that in my head for the last year or so, as far as us, The Hardys, showing up at NXT, something that’s never been done.
“To be there in New York, it was so rewarding and fulfilling, the response, the love, the support we got from being there, and ended up having a great match. I love when I can go home and watch the back and I kind of love it all.
“So we’re just exactly where we’re supposed to be, and NXT’s just another thing off the checklist, man. So anything’s possible in pro wrestling.”
Following their collective return after a six year absence, WWE released new Hardy Boyz merchandise.
The multi-year partnership between WWE and TNA Wrestling was announced in January 2025 with a focus on NXT stars and their counterparts in the Anthem Sports & Entertainment-owned company.
