Following the April 27 TNA Rebellion pay-per-view, a TNA Wrestling star has received an open invitation to appear on WWE NXT.
The main event of TNA Rebellion saw Joe Hendry defend the World Championship in a match that also featured Frankie Kazarian and NXT’s Ethan Page.
Retaining the championship against his two opponents, Hendry would be interrupted during his celebration thanks to the appearance of Trick Williams.
Hitting a spinning kick on Hendry and following it up with the Trick Shot, it would be Williams who stood tall over the TNA World Champion.
Addressing the attack, Shawn Michaels has extended an open invitation to Hendry, hoping that the TNA World Champion can settle the score with his NXT foe, tweeting:
“Trick Williams crossed the line. NXT is everywhere – RAW, SmackDown and tonight at TNA Rebellion.
“@JoeHendry, you have an open invitation this Tuesday to come to @WWENXT, and settle this issue with Trick.”
Last week’s WWE NXT saw Williams banned from the show following his backstage actions, which saw him ordered away from the venue by Ava.
It was recently reported that Trick Williams is among the NXT names that are being considered for a WWE main roster call-up.
Hendry faced Randy Orton at WrestleMania 41, with the TNA World Champion discussing being hand-selected by The Viper for the match.
