Tony Khan revealed on his media call yesterday that TNT has permitted AEW to have Dynamite run over two hours tonight should they need it for their special “Winter is Coming” show later on today.
Tonight’s show will see many exciting matches, but the biggest is undeniably the AEW World Championship match between Jon Moxley and Kenny Omega, which is being presented as the biggest match in Dynamite history.
The USA Network has occasionally allowed NXT to run over the two hour slot on given weeks, but this is the first time that TNT has permitted AEW to do the same for an episode of Dynamite.
Tony Khan said that Moxley and Omega are going to be given the full sixty minutes should they need it, which could potentially spoil that AEW is considering having the match between the long-time rivals go to a time-limit draw.
The show will also see the return of the Dynamite Diamond Battle Royale, which Dave Meltzer has noted on Twitter will have the same rules as the match last December, which was won by Inner Circle member MJF.
