A former WWE name has re-signed with IMPACT Wrestling.
In January 2022, Tom Hannifan, formerly known as Tom Phillips in WWE, debuted at the IMPACT Wrestling commentary desk at Hard To Kill 2022.
Hannifan previously worked with WWE before being released from the company in May 2021.
On Monday, Anthem Sports Group released details of the company’s first quarter and noted that Tom Hannifan had re-signed with IMPACT Wrestling.
Announcing their agreement with the 33-year old announcer and other first quarter signings, Anthem wrote:
Additionally, IMPACT Wrestling was proud to announce the signings of popular tag-team “The Motor City Machine Guns”—Alex Shelley and Chris Sabin—as well as rising Knockouts star KiLynn King and announcer Tom Hannifan
The length of the deal wasn’t disclosed in the announcement as of yet.
