Tommaso Ciampa To Wrestle Next Week On NXT

In the closing moments of NXT, it was announced Tommaso Ciampa will return to action next week on USA.  Ciampa will be facing Angel Garza.

Ciampa has been out of action with a neck injury for several months.  His injury derailed the ending to the Gargano saga that went on for years.

However, NXT was able to more than salvage the storyline turning to Adam Cole to feud with Johnny Gargano.  Cole was able to win the NXT Title and now how the prize Ciampa never lost.

Ciampa returned last week to confront Adam Cole.  It looks like we’ll be getting a match between these two at some point.

However, Ciampa will be starting with someone a bit further down the card.  Ciampa should pick up the victory next week over Garza who hasn’t had much success so far on NXT in terms of wins and losses.

Even though he might not have the highest winning percentage, he has been able to put on very high quality matches and should be a good opponent for Ciampa to return agains.

It was also announced that Velveteen Dream would get a rematch against Roderick Strong in 2 weeks time on USA.  Their initial match, while good, wasn’t the instant classic many had hoped for.

However, the second encounter will probably deliver as both men are very driven to succeed.

NXT is certainly not afraid to put on the best matches the can on their live shows.  This will be the second time in a month the North American Championship has been defended on live tv.
