Toni Storm AEW Women’s Title Reign Officially Recognized

In addition to a big announcement on the Interim AEW Women’s World Championship on AEW Dynamite, another about the reign of Toni Storm.

After Renee Paquette was on the ramp to make the announcement that Thunder Rosa and AEW management had come to an agreement to relinquish the title, there was a big match.

With the new champ being accompanied by her tag team partner, Dr. Britt Baker, D.M.D. (dubbed ‘the pillar and the killer’ by commentary) Jamie Hayter joined Baker in an exclusive club of AEW Women’s World Champions.

However after the match, commentary made note that Tony Khan had just informed of an important distinction.

With Thunder Rosa relinquishing the title, it will also be applied retroactively thereby making Toni Storm’s AEW Women’s World Championship reign officially recognized.

It was also noted that Toni Storm would address the announcement on Friday at AEW Rampage.

Elsewhere on AEW Dynamite tonight, William Regal and Jon Moxley came face to face for the first time since Regal cost him the AEW World Championship.

Also, an entire faction made a brutal surprise return.
