Timeless Toni Storm Lives Her Gimmick, Says AEW Star AEW

Timeless Toni Storm ‘lives’ her gimmick, according to a fellow AEW star who has been closely associated with her.

Following her AEW Women’s World Championship loss to Shida in 2023, Toni Storm would be reborn as a somewhat paranoid starlet of the Golden Age of Hollywood, being reintroduced later that year as the Timeless star, alongside her butler, Luther.

With the pair having been linked since the beginning, Luther has now spoken about how Toni Storm approaches her character during an appearance on AEW Unrestricted, saying:

“Everything is so good. Every time she’s in the ring, she’s such a professional.

“I see a lot of people be really good with their gimmicks, but then there’s the times, sometimes when they wrestle, that they’re out of it, then they’re back in.

“She’s like… lives it. 100%. That’s what makes it so special. And, I try to do that when I’m there, too.

“One thing when I was wrestling in Japan, FMW, the Sheikh… the original Sheikh… took me aside, and he goes to be, he was always a gimmick, but he came out of gimmick with me for five minutes to have a talk, and he’s like ‘you’ve gotta live your gimmick 24/7’.”

Toni Storm would briefly drop the Timeless persona, returning to her rockstar character seen in early AEW and on the independent scene, with no memory of her past character.

With the Timeless persona reborn during Storm’s feud with Mariah May, she would go on to be a four-time AEW Women’s World Champion, with her reign coming to an end at All Out in September of last year.

Storm has teamed up with Mina Shirakawa as the Timeless Love Bombs, losing to The Babes of Wrath (Harley Cameron & Willow Nightingale) in the finals of the first-ever AEW Women’s World Tag Team Championship.

In recent weeks, Storm has been seen in mixed tag team action alongside Orange Cassidy, with their most recent victory being against Brittnie Brooks & Jordan Oasis on the February 4 episode of AEW Dynamite.
