Toni Storm Discusses ‘Really Cool’ New AEW Signing AEW

Since debuting in AEW in March 2022, Toni Storm has continued to feature prominently in the AEW women’s division.

The current Interim Women’s Champion spoke to Bleacher Report, where she was ebullient with praise for the company, saying:

“I’ve really loved putting myself into AEW, and it’s my life now. I’m on the road with them every week, and I love it.”

This is a far cry from how she felt that WWE had treated her before her departure in December 2021.

With enthusiasm and love of the business that is much more like the Toni Storm of old, she continues:

“They have such a great locker room full of wonderful, hardworking people. Now. I feel like I’m at home, I feel like I’ve found a family within AEW.”

Whilst Storm has faced some of the best that AEW has to offer, there’s one name that she feels now stands above all others, the recently signed Saraya:

“[Working with Saraya] is pretty cool as someone who’s looked up to her, kind of tried to follow in her footsteps.

“But it’s really cool for me to be able to get the best seat in the house to see her come back to wrestling and all the crowd reactions and stuff.”

The praise goes beyond hero worship, though, with Storm reflecting that:

“I think she brings a whole different element to AEW. I think she’s exciting. And it’s going to bring in more and more viewers. I love having her around. I think she’s gonna really help us out.”

With Storm as Interim Women’s Champion and Saraya’s return to the ring, it can only be a matter of time before the two cross paths in the AEW ring.
