AEW President Tony Khan has addressed the company’s African American television audience being lower than WWE’s.
During today’s media call ahead of AEW Revolution, Tony Khan was asked about All Elite Wrestling’s African American audience being lower than WWE’s and how he expects to solve this issue.
Khan answered:
“I have noticed that, I study the patterns very closely and it’s something I’m cognisant of and an audience that we really do wanna grow and is really important to us. Not just growing that audience, adding diversity’s very important the company for a number of reasons, but absolutely expanding our viewership, we think that is something that will help us and that’s why you see so much great diverse talent on the show.”

Khan went on to talk about some of the adjustments that have occurred in the company as of late to solve this issue, saying:
“There’s been better representation I think than ever before. Diversity among the champions and new stars coming in. I think when you look at who’s been coming into the company and the profile of free agents we continue to sign, and the huge push that Jade Cargill is getting, and a lot of the stars who have been getting pushed up the card and getting put in big spots and I think that is consistent with trying to grow that audience.”
