The FTW Championship was introduced to AEW recently by Taz, but there have been questions over whether it is considered an actual recognised title.
Speaking on a media call ahead of Saturday’s All Out pay-per-view, Khan said:
“The FTW Title will be treated totally differently than the other titles. I’m working on a pilot, and it’s a different kind of a project than the way you see wrestling titles defended traditionally, and it’s very different from obviously how we use the World Heavyweight Title and the TNT Title. So the AEW World Title and the TNT Title I think have been treated as very, very important titles that I really, really feel great about both those belts and their champions. And the FTW Title and Brian Cage I feel good about too, but we haven’t totally established it yet and to be honest our plans for the FTW Title – there’s a lot in store, and I’m excited about it.”

Taz brought back the FTW Title a few months ago and annointed Brian Cage as the new champion. So far, he’s only defended the title once which was against Brian Pillman Jr. on Dark.
