Tony Khan Comments On Low AEW Dynamite Viewership AEW

AEW President Tony Khan has addressed Dynamite’s decline in viewership following Wednesday’s (June 15) episode.

This week’s show drew 761,000 viewers and a 0.28 rating in the 18-49 demographic, the show’s lowest total viewership and demo rating in over a year.

Khan took to Twitter to thank fans for watching the show. Acknowledging that overall viewership was down, Khan celebrated tying in #1 for Wednesday night viewership overall, noting:

Thank you to everyone who watched #AEWDynamite last night!
Though cable/satellite overall was down, we were #1 in our timeslots for each hour of Dynamite + the show tied for #1 overall for Wednesday!

As previously reported, yesterday was the second lowest Wednesday for of cable TV viewership overall in at least six years and possibly longer.

This week’s edition of Dynamite featured several top NJPW names including Will Ospreay and IWGP World Heavyweight Champion Jay White.

More major NJPW stars will reportedly appear on next week’s show, ahead of Forbidden Door on June 26.
