Tony Khan Says Developing Wrestling Legend’s Son Is A Huge Priority For AEW AEW

AEW President Tony Khan has addressed a WWE Hall of Famer’s son working with the company, following a recent match.

Following his pro-wrestling debut in October 2025, Steven Borden – the son of wrestling legend Sting – wrestled dark matches for ROH and AEW respectively in December and January.

Speaking on the Battleground Podcast, Tony Khan noted that developing Steven Borden as a performer is a huge priority for AEW.

Tony Khan said:

“Steven has still never been on AEW TV, but he’s somebody we’re developing and I have so much respect for Steven, he’s a rising young wrestler.

“He played college football at Kentucky, I followed his football career and now I’m proud to say we’re working on developing him as a pro wrestler for AEW.

“Again, AEW we have the greatest wrestlers in the world and one of the all-time greats, somebody who was undefeated in AEW is Sting. And absolutely Steven and developing him for the future is a huge priority for me and everyone in AEW.”
