Tony Khan Addresses Absent AEW Star’s Status

Tony Khan has addressed the AEW status of Kamille, who has been absent from TV since November 2024.

Kamille was subject to a backstage attack on the November 30, 2024 episode of AEW Rampage, after previously ending her alliance with Mercedes Mone.

Since then, nothing has been seen of Kamille in AEW, although she would say she hasn’t been able to showcase her talents during her time with the company.

Tony Khan has now provided an update for the absent star during an appearance on the Battleground Podcast.

Asked about the future of Kamille in AEW, Khan touched upon her anonymous attacker and a potential match with Megan Bayne, saying:

“We don’t know who attacked Kamille, and the last time we saw her, she was attacked.

“We know she had a breakup with Mercedes Mone in their business relationship. Mercedes is flourishing since then. She’s done really well on her own.

“But Kamille, we haven’t seen her since she was attacked, and we’re not sure what that was and what that was about.

“I do think that’s an interesting thought for sure, and it’s something to keep an eye on, but that would be a great matchup.

“When Kamille does return to get payback for that attack, it’ll be interesting to see who she goes after and what that was.”

During her AEW absence, the wrestling biopic Queen of the Ring had its premiere, a movie which stars Kamille.

Queen of the Ring follows the story of Mildred Burke and also sees Toni Storm, WWE’s Naomi and Jim Cornette in roles.
