On tonight’s episode of AEW Dark: Elevation, GM Tony Khan appeared to announce a Kenny Omega match for an upcoming Dynamite.
Omega had come out on the show to torment Matt Sydal, which is when Khan came onto the stage.
Khan said that, on the March 24 Dynamite (next week), Omega and Sydal will have a match.
He added that if Sydal wins that match, he’ll earn a shot at the title. So this one isn’t for the title but if Sydal wins he’ll get one in the future.
Khan has previously said that he didn’t want to be an on-screen authority figure, so it’ll be interesting to see whether this becomes a regular occurence or not.
