During the AEW Full Gear post-event media scrum, Tony Khan was asked about booking Colt Cabana on a recent episode of AEW Dynamite.
Tony Khan was asked about booking Colt Cabana and also, to clarify whether or not CM Punk ever requested to have Cabana out.
Khan responded with an explanation regarding his answer however the bottom line remained: no.
Tony Khan says CM Punk did not make any requests to remove Colt Cabana from AEW.
Also, he explained his rationale for his recent utilization of Colt Cabana on AEW Dynamite, facing Chris Jericho for the Ring of Honor Championship.
Detailing Cabana’s history with ROH, Khan gave a well thought out reply that included that Cabana “is a great babyface” that people get behind.
Elsewhere during the media scrum, Khan commented on the ‘interim’ status of the AEW Women’s World Championship, as well as the absences of Miro and Andrade el Idolo.
Also making an appearance, the brand new AEW World Heavyweight champion, Maxwell Jacob Friedman.
MJF kicked off the media scrum in a spicy fashion, hitting the members of the media with an oratory exhibition (the champ doesn’t like the word “promo,”) and then left.
