During the AEW Revolution post-event media scrum, Tony Khan was asked about current IWGP Women’s Champion Mercedes Moné.
After announcing that the Ring of Honor app had amassed 12,000 Honor Club subscribers since launching, he discussed the continued close partnership between AEW and both ROH and NJPW.
Relatedly, Khan was asked about the potential past tease of Mercedes Moné coming to AEW (initially as the mystery partner for Saraya).
Khan said:
“She’s a tremendous wrestler, I wouldn’t want to comment on any discussions I’ve had with any free agent,” especially one that was a champion in their great partner company, NJPW.
Khan did go on to say that he has “a ton of respect for that great wrestler,” and that any company would be grateful to work with her, interestingly without actually saying the name, Mercedes Moné.
Elsewhere in the media scrum, MJF enjoyed some pickles and discussed potential future opponents and Ricky Starks brought passion and jokes to the scrum.
