Tony Khan Confirms ‘The Referee’s Decision Is FINAL’ After ‘BS’ Speculation AEW

In an scenario straight from my personal nightmares, Tony Khan has taken to Twitter to debunk some online speculation by retweeting a wrestling news article to call BS!

Speaking out regarding the final moments of the Triple or Nothing three-way tag team match in the main event of the July 13 edition of AEW Dynamite, Khan said:

“That speculation’s BS! As always in @AEW + per generally accepted pro wrestling practices: the referee’s decision is FINAL!

“Congratulations to the new World Tag Team Champions @swerveconfident & @RealKeithLee!

“See you all for Friday #AEWRampage TOMORROW@ 10pm ET/9pm CT/10pm PT”

There had been some online fracas earlier in the day surrounding the final moments of the match which saw technically no tag occur with Swerve and Matt Jackson as the legal competitors before Hobbs’ impressive spinebuster spot.

After, Hobbs dragged Matt Jackson to the corner to tag in Starks, which should have been with Matt’s hand, but instead was his own, some fans online argued that Swerve then beating Starks while Matt Jackson remained the legal man would nullify the win.

Thankfully now that Tony Khan has confirmed this detail, we can peacefully continue to bask in their glory and celebrate the championship victory along with Swerve in Our Glory.

Speaking of which, shopAEW has released a new t-shirt in honor of the occasion which you can see by clicking here.
