Tony Khan Announces FTR Vs. Briscoes Dream Match

Taking to Twitter today, Tony Khan has announced that the dream match between FTR and the Briscoes is finally happening.

It was recently reported that WarnerMedia executives had prevented the match from taking place in AEW due to homophobic remarks made by Jay Briscoe in years past, so AEW hasn’t been able to sign the brothers.

Well, Tony Khan has figured out a workaround – do the match under the Ring of Honor umbrella instead.

The bout will be taking place at Supercard of Honor on April 1, with the Briscoes defending the ROH Tag Team Title, which they’ve held since December and are currently in the midst of their 12th reign.

Khan tweeted:

2 weeks from tonight, @ringofhonor Supercard of Honor ROH World Tag Team Champions BRISCOES @jaybriscoe84 + @SussexCoChicken vs @LuchaLibreAAA Tag Team Champions FTR @DaxFTR + @CashWheelerFTR Friday April 1, 2022, Dallas Metroplex tickets @, on @FiteTV PPV

The other big match currently set for Supercard of Honor is Jonathan Gresham vs Bandido to determine the undisputed ROH World Champion.
