Tony Khan Comments On Future Of AEW Media Scrums After All Out AEW

Tony Khan has commented on the possibility of AEW scrapping talent media scrums following All Out.

In case you’ve been living under a Dwayne Johnson, CM Punk went on a verbal tirade during the post-All Out media scrum, targeting the likes of Colt Cabana, Hangman Page and the AEW EVPs. Following his appearance, Punk, Ace Steel, Kenny Omega and the Young Bucks were all allegedly involved in a backstage fight.

The aforementioned stars are all currently suspended, with Punk stripped of the AEW World Title and The Elite forced to relinquish the Trios Championship following the altercation.

Speaking with  Barstool Rasslin’ ahead of AEW Grand Slam, Tony Khan argued that the media scrums are beneficial overall, noting:

“Well I think to be fair we have had a lot of positive things, a lot of positive reactions. It is a great opportunity for the talent to get out and speak.

“Obviously there are a lot of positives coming out of them, for example tonight on Dynamite we have the World Tag Team Champions Keith Lee and Swerve Strickland defending the titles against The Acclaimed.

“It was actually at our last pay-per-view, the All Out media scrum that we had that conversation. I said to Keith and Swerve that that was one of the best matches that we have ever had.

“The Acclaimed are the winningest match in all of AEW, and if anyone deserves a rematch it is those guys.”

The Acclaimed went on to defeat Swerve in our Glory for the AEW Tag Team Championship at Dynamite: Grand Slam.
