Tony Khan ‘Important Announcement’ Set For AEW Dynamite

It was announced during tonight’s February 17 edition of AEW Rampage that Tony Khan has an “important announcement” coming soon.

That announcement is set to be revealed on the February 22 edition of Dynamite,

There’s no word currently on what the announcement will even be about, but we’ll let you know if there are any updates.

During tonight’s WWE SmackDown, Khan aimed a tweet at Ariel Helwani, calling Helwani a fraud after he appeared on the show to promote the idea of Sami Zayn being a hometown hero in Montreal (Helwani is also from Montreal).

Khan tweeted:

“You’re a fraud @arielhelwani. You’re as legitimate of a reporter as @tonyschiavone24.”

Months ago, Khan appeared on Helwani’s show for an interview, but avoided answering many of Helwani’s questions, which Helwani then spoke about the following day and said it was one of the most frustrating interviews he’s ever done.

As of this writing, Helwani has yet to respond to Khan’s comment.
