Tony Khan Issues Statement On Problems During AEW Collision AEW

Tony Khan has issued a statement after some technical problems during tonight’s May 17 airing of AEW Collision.

Tonight’s Collision was taped this past Wednesday straight after Dynamite before airing tonight on TNT.

The show seemed to cut off part way through and TNT began showing Black Adam instead, with AEW CEO Tony Khan now commenting on social media.

He wrote:

We’re having technical problems with our studio transmission of Saturday #AEWCollision tonight!

I’m sorry for the inconvenience to all of you great fans!

We’ll have the complete show up on @StreamOnMax + in its entirety on @TNTdrama West 8pm PT/9pm MT/10pm CT/11pm ET tonight!

Also, the official ‘AEW on TV’ page tweeted:

Due to technical difficulties, #AEWCollision Beach Break East Coast airing was cut short. West Coast airing will be unaffected. We will have an On-Demand version available on @Sportsonmax and the TNT app as soon as possible

We apologize for the inconvenience, and appreciate you hanging with us! We are committed to providing you with the Best Wrestling on the planet.

We’ll take this bump and get on it

For international fans outside of the US, the airing of Collision that usually airs simulataneously with the US version was only available an hour later than usual on Triller TV (formerly Fite TV).

Tonight’s AEW Collision notably played host to a tribute for Steve ‘Mongo’ McMichael, featuring his wife Misty, Dean Malenko, Tony Schiavone and Ric Flair, which did make it to air before the show experienced technical issues.

You can see that tribute below.
