Tony Khan has control of two of the biggest promotions in wrestling and has left open the possibility of a huge AEW/ROH event.
At ROH Supercard of Honor, various All Elite Wrestling stars appeared on the show and Samoa Joe returned to wrestling before debuting for AEW.
Speaking to Robbie Fox on My Mom’s Basement, the AEW President was asked about the possibility of other Ring of Honor legends, CM Punk and Bryan Danielson, wrestling for their former promotion.
Khan answered:
“I would love to see them lock up at some point in AEW. In Ring of Honor, I think we’ll have to wait and see. There may be a time where it would make sense for them to come, we have a lot of great stars in Ring of Honor and AEW, so I couldn’t promise that. There may come a day where it would make sense for all the stars of AEW and all the stars of Ring of Honor to come together as one and have a big event. We’ll see when that time is. I wouldn’t count on seeing Punk and Danielson on every show. At some point, it might make sense.”
Both Punk and Danielson were part of the inaugural ROH Hall of Fame class in 2022.
On last Wednesday’s AEW Dynamite, Samoa Joe defeated Minoru Suzuki to win the ROH Television Championship.
Meanwhile, Jonathan Gresham beat Dalton Castle to retain the ROH World Title on the AEW Battle of the Belts II event.
As previously mentioned, Ring of Honor had their final episode on Sinclair Broadcasting Group with many fans speculating their next distribution home may be announced on this week’s Dynamite.
