On hand for the announcement alongside Dr. Martha Hart, Tony Khan made a special appearance complete with impressive headwear.
Tony Khan came out in front of the crowd in a fun hat, somewhere between a fedora and a cowboy hat in homage to the plan for the Owen Hart Foundation Cup Tournament not only kicking off in Canada but culminating in a special place.
According to the announcement, the Owen Hart Foundation Cup Tournament will conclude on July 15th in Calgary, Alberta to coincide with the Calgary Stampede.
And despite last year mentioning that fans should come in their finest fascinators for the tournament final, the headwear of choice has now been updated to be more Stampede themed.
Participants for the tournament were not revealed during the announcement however tournament championship belts, as won by last year’s tournament winners, Adam Cole and Dr. Britt Baker, D.M.D. were on display.
