Tony Khan Addresses MJF Incident At AEW Revolution AEW

Tony Khan and MJF addressed the incident between the AEW World Champion and a young fan during the Revolution post-show media scrum.

In the main event of the March 5 pay-per-view, MJF defended his AEW World Title against Bryan Danielson in a 60 minute ironman match.

During the show, MJF took a drink from a fan in the crowd, and threw it at a child. The top star has been met with backlash following the incident, as it appeared that the child was not a plant.

During the post-show media scrum, Khan stated that he and MJF had a serious conversation about the incident.

Sharing opposing views on the spot, MJF and Khan said:

MJF: “Kid looked thirsty.”

Khan: We had a conversation before we came up here. We had a serious conversation, and I mean that, it’s not to be taken lightly.

“The young man, Titus, was a real pro about it. We’ll see Titus again in AEW. I believe he’s coming to Sacramento.

“I was just with him and he was a real champ about it. The champion didn’t act like a champion there. Titus was great”

MJF: “Salt of the earth, that Titus. Real worried about him.”

Following the incident, Amanda Huber from the AEW Community Outreach team sat with Titus, before he was invited backstage.

It was noted on the latest edition of Wrestling Observer Radio that part of the issue some had with the spot was to do with the fact that the drink that MJF took from the mom and threw at the child was tequila, not water.
