
Tony Khan has publicly chimed in on the possibility of Jeff Hardy joining AEW with his WWE non-compete clause set to expire.
After Hardy recently said he would be coming to All Elite Wrestling in a video, AEW President Tony Khan has provided a statement regarding the former WWE Champion.
When asked if Hardy coming to AEW was imminent in today’s media call, Khan answered:
“I don’t think anybody should consider it a foregone conclusion. I do really like Jeff a lot. I think Jeff is still obligated to another company (WWE) for at least several more days, but at some point, when Jeff is free and clear, I would love to have Jeff in AEW. Jeff is a friend of mine, I really like him very much, and I think the world of him. I have a lot of respect for him as a wrestler and he’s also a very nice person, and I think he would fit in very well in AEW and we would love to have him, potentially.”

In a recent interview with YouTuber Jared Myers, Jeff Hardy seemed to let it slip that he was joining All Elite Wrestling. Hardy later corrected this on Twitter by saying it was something he wanted as a goal.
As previously mentioned, Matt Hardy has also said that he would like to reunite the Hardy Boyz in AEW as well.
