As reported earlier today, CM Punk took to Twitter to make comments about his return to WWE television. He basically said it’s weird to catch up on 5 years of the product.
He seemed to be promising he’s going to tell it like it is. CM Punk was recently announced as a special contributor to WWE Backstage and will be appearing on Tuesday night.
In making his comments, he claims “no one is safe.” Apparently, Tony Khan was included in that list of those who should be worried.
However, Tony Khan knows how to use Twitter as well. He has responded to CM Punk this afternoon.
His response was a zinger. The AEW founder took a shot at WWE and it’s most recent trip to Saudi Arabia.
No one is safe?omit_script=1 Sounds like a plane full of wrestlers in Saudi Arabia!

While Tony may be a little miffed at CM Punk for reportedly turning down a big-money offer, he seems to be willing to have some silly banter on social media.
One thing is for sure, it certainly is fun having an owner who is willing to push back. Obviously, AEW has a long, long way to go before it can compete with WWE.
However, it seems to be competing just fine with WWE on Twitter.
