With AEW Revolution taking place tonight, AEW President Tony Khan has revealed how many people are expected in the arena for the show.
For about a year, wrestling shows have had limited-sized crowds due to safety restrictions in place to ease the pandemic. Tony Khan has recently confirmed the number of people that have bought tickets for AEW Revolution.
Speaking on the AEW Unrestricted podcast, Khan noted that the arena, Daily’s Place, will be filled to almost 30% capacity. Noting that after some modifications to increase the capacity safely, Khan stated that over 1000 people will be watching the show live in Jacksonville tonight.
Here is the full quote:
“We’re gonna have the biggest crowd we’ve done yet because we’ve found some new seats. We’ve reconfigured a little bit. We still are running just over 25% capacity, under 30% capacity, and we’re gonna have over 1,300 people at Daily’s Place.”
AEW Revolution 2021 has many highly anticipated matches. Kenny Omega and Jon Moxley battle for the AEW Championship in an exploding barbed wire deathmatch. Omega has recently explained the rules ahead of the violent contest.
Also on the card, Hikaru Shida and Ryo Mizunami face off in an AEW Women’s Championship match.
It will be interesting to see what the smaller crowd looks like ahead of WrestleMania 37. Also planning to have fans in attendance, this year’s WrestleMania will be action packed, with Vince McMahon reportedly “blowing up” current plans.
