Tony Khan Drops Huge Tease For AEW ‘Quake By The Lake’ AEW

AEW President Tony Khan has dropped an intriguing tease for Wednesday’s (August 10) AEW Dynamite ‘Quake By The Lake’ event.

This week’s event will be one of a few special episodes that AEW has recently held, following two weeks of Fyter Fest, and Fight for the Fallen on July 27 & 29.

Noting that fans will regret it if they miss Quake By The Lake, Khan has now tweeted:

“Tomorrow night on #AEWDynamite, if you miss #QuakeByTheLake, it’ll be a regret you won’t forget.”

Khan’s tweet has fuelled speculation, with some theorizing that we could see a big return on Wednesday’s show.

It has been pointed out that the event will emanate from the Target Center in Minneapolis, the same arena in which Kenny Omega wrestled his most recent match, against Hangman Page at Full Gear 2021.

Omega took time away from the ring after the bout to take care of a number of issues, but was at one point reportedly factored into plans for All Out in September.

There has also been some speculation surrounding the potential return of AEW World Champion CM Punk, who is currently recovering from a foot injury.

Here’s the current lineup for the August 10 show:

  • Jon Moxley (c) vs. Chris Jericho – AEW World Championship
  • Jade Cargill (c) vs. Madison Rayne – TBS Championship
  • Brody King vs. Darby Allin – Coffin Match
  • Lucha Bros vs. Andrade & RUSH – Tornado Tag
  • Ricky Starks vs. Aaron Solo
  •  FTR to appear

If you’re in the UK but didn’t manage to get tickets to Clash at the Castle on September 3, WrestleTalk is hosting a watch party at The Joiner on Worship in Shoreditch, London, and we’d love for you to join us! Click here for more details.
