We might have seen Christian Cage and Ethan Page both debut for AEW last night, but Tony Khan has teased that even more unexpected people could be debuting for his promotion this year.
Speaking with the media after last night’s Revolution pay-per-view, Tony Khan said that he is going to have some “aces” up his sleeve for the next few months of AEW television, promising fans will be surprised:
“I would be remiss if I didn’t leave the scrum without promising everyone this; in this year, 2021, I promise you, I’m going to have some aces up my sleeve. You are going to see some cool stuff. You are going to see some stuff you didn’t expect to see. This is is the beginning. I promise it’s going to be a great year for AEW.”
AEW has produced some pretty unexpected moments over the last few months, whether it be the debuts of Paul Wight and Sting, or the formation of working relationships with NJPW and IMPACT Wrestling.
At this time, there is no word on what the surprises that Tony Khan has up his sleeve for AEW this year are. For any potential information on the matter, make sure you stay tuned to WrestleTalk.com.
