Tony Khan has revealed the unique rules for the ‘Royal Rampage’ match set for AEW Rampage.
The bout was announced on Wednesday’s episode of Dynamite, with the winner of the upcoming battle royal to become the #1 contender to Jon Moxley’s interim AEW World Title.
Following speculation, Tony Khan has confirmed the rules for the match, which will take place across two rings.
Wrestlers will enter the match at one minute intervals, with each new competitor entering an alternating ring. Ultimately, 10 wrestlers will enter the ‘red’ ring, and 10 will join the ‘blue’ ring over the course of the bout.
Once a winner has been decided for both rings, the two stars will face off under battle royal rules.
So basically, two battle royals will be happening at the same time, with the two winners meeting their own one-on-one battle royal.
Also on Rampage, the Young Bucks will face off against former IWGP Tag Team Champions Hirooki Goto & YOSHI-HASHI. Nyla Rose is also set to battle Toni Storm on Friday’s show.
These matches were taped following Wednesday’s edition of Dynamite: Blood & Guts. You can read AEW Rampage spoilers right here.
