Tony Khan has commented on William Regal’s promo running long on the March 9 edition of AEW Dynamite.
On the show, following Bryan Danielson & Jon Moxley’s victory over The Workhorsemen, Regal discussed his past, present and future in wrestling in an emotional promo.
Regal has since publicly apologised for his timing issues with the promo, noting that he had reached out everyone personally affected.
Speaking on Busted Open Radio, Tony Khan noted that it was cool of Regal to personally apologize to individuals when he didn’t have to.
Commenting on the locker-room’s respect for the wrestling veteran, Tony Khan said:
“That was an amazing promo and it sets a great example, I think. Everybody in the back has so much respect for him, and you know, if his interview goes long, it means somebody else might have to cut their interview or their segment short.
“That was what happened and it was very cool of him to apologize to anybody that was affected by it, because generally, we try to keep the show moving, try to keep the shows on time. You know, that was very cool of him to do that and he didn’t have to, but he did, and I think it shows what a classy person he is.”
Danielson & Moxley are set to team again on this week’s Dynamite: St Patrick’s Day Slam event, which you can read more about right here.
