Tony Khan Wishes Brodie Lee Could Have Been At Double Or Nothing

AEW President and CEO Tony Khan has said he wishes Brodie Lee could have been at Sunday’s Double Or Nothing pay-per-view.

Lee challenged for the AEW World Championship at last year’s iteration of the event, and Khan described this year’s as the second most emotional AEW show ever, behind only the Brodie Lee tribute show.

Speaking with media after the show, Khan said:

“The one thing I wished was that the person who would have seen this is Brodie. It probably ranks as one of the two most emotional shows we’ve had, second only, of course, to the Brodie Lee show. Last year he was in a World Title match at Double or Nothing. That’s such a great match and that’s the first show where we let some family and friends who were tested in. And we had a tested bubble crowd and distanced and it was nothing like this but he had a great match in a very small crowd and I just wish he could have been here tonight.”

The show saw Dark Order represented by three of its members, with Pres10 Vance, Colt Cabana and Evil Uno all part of the Casino Battle Royale.

Also on the show, Miro retained the TNT Championship, that Lee once held, against Lance Archer.
