Tony Khan has revealed his personal wrestling Mount Rushmore.
Even before his days running All Elite Wrestling, Tony Khan’s lifelong fandom of professional wrestling has been well documented.
In several interviews and media scrums, Khan has spoken about watching and attending wrestling events when he was a kid and how he used to tape trade with fellow members of the wrestling community.
Speaking on the Superstar Crossover podcast, Tony Khan named the four stars that are on his personal wrestling Mount Rushmore. He said:
“For me, it’s a great question, I would say Ricky Steamboat, Steve Austin, Ric Flair, and Bret Hart.”
Bret Hart appeared on AEW’s first ever event, Double Or Nothing 2019, to reveal the AEW World Championship.
Khan continued on to discuss Bret Hart and mentioned how he is a very classy person in real life, saying:
“He’s a very classy person when you meet him in real life, and he’s one of the greatest wrestlers of all time. In person, he’s a real gentleman, too.”
“So he lives up to his reputation as one of the greats, Bret Hart. Amazing, amazing person.”
“It was great to have Bret Hart be the first person ever to pull the AEW World Championship out of the bag at the first-ever Double or Nothing.”
