Top AEW Faction Reunion Update

An update has emerged on a top AEW faction potentially reuniting for one final run after being separated on TV.

The Elite has had a few different iterations, but the main version of the group is generally considered to consist of the Young Bucks, Kenny Omega and Hangman Adam Page.

There was a more recent short-lived heel version of the group that featured the Bucks, Kazuchika Okada and Jack Perry.

Speaking on the Battleground Podcast, the Bucks were asked if The Elite in AEW is finished for good, or if they’ll eventually get back together.

Nick Jackson said:

“Right now, it feels like it is just the two of us, so why even call it The Elite at this point? I think that changes on a weekly basis. We would like it to be a thing, but right now, it doesn’t feel like it fits the character that we’re portraying.

“I feel like just the two of us as the Young Bucks fits better with what we’re doing, because we can’t have Okada not have an entrance, he’s too cool. So that’s where that’s at, at this moment. It could change later on.”

Matt Jackson added:

“I think that there’s always a chance to bring it back. It is All ‘Elite’ Wrestling, and I think that it’s in the DNA, and it would be silly not to give the audience maybe one last reunion run.

“I’m not saying that’s gonna happen, but I think it’d be silly to not do it before we call it quits, before Kenny calls it quits, before Hangman calls it quits. I think that there’s money in it, and I think it would be ridiculous not to revisit it at least one more time.”

The Young Bucks are set to face the recently reunited Jurassic Express of Luchasaurus and Jack Perry at AEW WrestleDream on Saturday night.
