Top AEW Star Considering MMA & Boxing Crossover

Top AEW Star Considering MMA & Boxing Crossover AEW

A top AEW star has revealed that they are considering crossing over into MMA and boxing in the future.

While he’s most known for his pro wrestling career across WWE, TNA and now AEW, Bobby Lashley also competed in MMA between 2008-2016, holding an impressive record of 15-2-0 across promotion’s such as Strikeforce and Bellator among others.

Speaking to WFAA, Lashley revealed that he’s thinking about returning to the world of mixed martial arts for “one or two” more fights in the future, as well as potentially making his boxing debut.

While he admitted that his plans could change completely at a later date, Lashley said:

“Am I going to fight 10 fights? Absolutely not, my kids wouldn’t even allow that. Will I fight one, maybe two more fights? I think so, I think I have it left in my tank. Now, if you talk to me next year, that may be off the board.

“I like boxing, I’m a big fan of boxing, even though I came from a wrestling background. I think that I’d like to do maybe one boxing match too.”

After a hugely successful second stint in WWE between 2018-2024, Bobby Lashley debuted in AEW in October and currently holds the AEW World Tag Team Championships along with fellow Hurt Syndicate member Shelton Benjamin.

As confirmed on last night’s episode of AEW Collision, Lashley and Benjamin will defend their titles against JetSpeed (Kevin Knight & Speedball Mike Bailey) & The Patriarchy (Christian Cage & Nick Wayne).
