Several of AEW’S initial contracts that were signed in 2019 when the company was first announced have recently come due or are set to come due in the future.
Former AEW World Champions Chris Jericho and Jon Moxley have signed long-term extensions with company, while the company continues to discuss potential new deals for Kenny Omega and the Young Bucks.
One other name who signed with the company upon it’s launch is ‘Hangman’ Adam Page, and his AEW contract is seemingly coming up soon, and there’s already been discussions regarding an extension.
Per Fightful Select (subscription required), AEW and Hangman are in the process of working towards a potential new contract.
Those that spoke to Fightful said that the negotiations had started fairly recently, though there doesn’t seem to be much of a timetable for when the deal could be done.
Page has the same representative as Kenny Omega and the Young Bucks, who are also in the process of contract negotiations with the company.
AEW is set to enter an important period, with the reported return of CM Punk coming up in June, as well as contract negotiations for many top stars.
Ahead of a potential CM Punk return, Hangman took to Instagram to respond to Punk’s claims that he ‘doesn’t take advice’.
