It’s been a big day for British-based wrestlers in Japan. Earlier on at New Japan’s Wrestling Dontaku Night 2, Canadian El Phantasmo – who has made a name for himself on the UK circuit in promotions such as RevPro, Defiant and FCP – made his debut for the company as the newest member of Bullet Club, scoring a huge opening night win over Will Ospreay.
Elsewhere over in Pro Wrestling NOAH, hard-hitting Liverpudlian Chris Ridgeway was announced as a competitor in the promotion’s Jr. Tag League, which starts on May 28.
NOAH bound.
Life goal.
Unreal.

Ridgeway has been pegged as a breakthrough star on the UK scene for a while now, having impressed in IPW:UK, WrestleGate, PROGRESS and others. This weekend he will be competing in the PROGRESS Super Strong Style 16 tournament, where he is scheduled for a first round match against NXT star Kyle O’Reilly.
WrestleTalk would like to offer our congratulations to both El Phantasmo and Chris Ridgeway as they embark upon this exciting new chapter in their careers.
