WWE Star Defends Logan Paul Following Roman Reigns Title Match WWE

WWE SmackDown star Top Dolla has defended the decision to have Logan Paul main event the recent Crown Jewel event.

At the November 5 premium live event, the influencer challenged for Roman Reigns’ Undisputed WWE Universal Championship in his third ever wrestling match.

Prior to the event, Logan Paul had indicated that some backstage weren’t happy with WWE featuring him in such a prominent position.

Speaking on  Out of Character with Ryan Satin, Top Dolla argued that Paul deserved the main event spot because of his huge online following.

Sharing his honest thoughts on WWE’s treatment of Paul, Top Dolla said:

“I worked for a decade plus to get to the NFL, so I put the work in, it was just a different kind of work.

“It’s like how people are salty with Logan Paul because, ‘Man, Logan Paul shouldn’t be in that spot because it’s his third match ever.’

“Logan Paul should be in that spot because he brings a crowd, he is a draw and clearly he showed he deserved to be in that spot because it was only his third match and look what the hell he did.

“Yes, are there a 100 other people that if given the opportunity could’ve had an amazing match with Roman Reigns in the main event of Crown Jewel? Absolutely.

“That doesn’t take away from the fact that he also deserved it.”

Top Dolla made his WWE return as part of Hit Row in August under the Triple H regime, following the group members’ releases in November 2021.

The SmackDown star has now opened up about his previous WWE departure.

Logan Paul is currently out of action after suffering a serious knee injury at Crown Jewel. Check out the latest update on Paul’s recovery right here.
