Top Dolla On Hit Row Return To WWE Without Swerve Strickland

Top Dolla On Hit Row Return To WWE Without Swerve Strickland WWE

Top Dolla doesn’t feel that there was something absent from Hit Row’s WWE return without AEW star Swerve Strickland by their side.

Top Dolla recently spoke in an interview where he shared his thoughts on being back in WWE but without now AEW star and current AEW Tag Team Champion, Swerve Strickland.

Speaking to Jobbing Out, Top Dolla was asked whether or not it was a “little it of a bummer” that things didn’t work out as originally planned and if there was an absence from the group’s return without Swerve Strickland and his answer might surprise you.

Top Dolla doesn’t think so but it also all worked out, saying:

“Nah, to be honest with you. You have to remember; me, [Ashante], and [B-Fab] have been doing this for over two years. Swerve was added to the crew two weeks before we debuted. When we got released, he told us he wanted to do his own thing, we didn’t tell him he couldn’t be in Hit Row or the HitMakerz, he said he wanted to do his own thing. So, he’s doing his own thing.”

And do his own thing he certainly did as since being released from WWE, Swerve has gone on to sign with All Elite Wrestling and become AEW Tag Team Champions alongside another NXT alum, Keith Lee.

For his part, Swerve seemingly commented on Twitter last week after the group made their WWE return and had nothing but positivity.

On the podcast, Top Dolla referred to the group as ‘The OG3,’ the name that they used on last week’s edition of WWE SmackDown.
