Isaiah ‘Swerve’ Scott, Top Dolla, Ashante ‘Thee’ Adonis and B-Fab, collectively known as Hit Row, were drafted to SmackDown on Friday (October 1) as part of night one of the 2021 WWE Draft.
The call-up was met with mixed reactions, with some fans worrying about the group’s future on the main roster. Top Dolla (AJ Francis) apparently isn’t so concerned.
Taking to Twitter, Francis posted two Tweets, saying that he believes Hit Row will fair just fine on the blue brand. He tweeted:
Stop comparing us to other people who couldn’t transition to the main roster. We can promo. Thanks, Management
Francis received a response from a fan, who seemed to rebute Francis’ point, saying that their promos will be ‘heavily scripted’ on SmackDown, to which Francis responded:
Last night we cut a promo. Unscripted. Like every promo we ever cut. We made us. Stop talking about things you don’t know.
Whether Hit Row’s promos will be scripted going forward remains to be seen, but Top Dolla seems to believe the group will fair just fine on the main roster. Musical based acts from NXT (namely Elias and Rick Boogs) have historically been well received on the main shows.
