A top NJPW star has confirmed talks with Karl Anderson and Luke Gallows before their WWE returns.
Karl Anderson has become a hot topic in wrestling after being announced for WWE Crown Jewel, which is the same day as his scheduled NEVER Openweight Title defense for NJPW Battle Autumn on November 5.
Anderson is a founding member of the Bullet Club and reunited with the group on their anniversary at Wrestling Dontaku in May.
Speaking with Steve Fall of NBC Sports Boston, IWGP World Heavyweight Champion Jay White was asked whether he had spoken with The Good Brothers about coming back to New Japan before they re-signed with WWE.
Switchblade answered:
“You’re asking about private conversations. Are you gonna think that we wouldn’t have talked about them coming back? Of course we would’ve had to talk about them. Because, you know, we very much aligned ourselves appearing back at Wrestling Dontaku on the anniversary of Bullet Club. So of course we would have had to talk. When, and what was spoken about, though, that’s between me and them.”
The Bullet Club leader is well known for keeping his on-screen persona in all interviews, so the fact that he is keeping things private could indicate that Anderson and Gallows may possibly return to NJPW despite being on the WWE roster.
Jay White is scheduled to team with fellow Bullet Club member Juice Robinson to face Kazuchika Okada and AEW’s Eddie Kingston at NJPW Rumble On 44th Street on October 27.
Meanwhile, Karl Anderson will team with Luke Gallows and AJ Styles of The O.C. to face The Judgment Day’s Finn Balor, Damian Priest and Dominik Mysterio at WWE Crown Jewel on November 5.
