Top NXT Star Appears At Season Premiere Of Raw Taping

A top NXT star has appeared at the season premiere of Raw taping at Brooklyn’s Barclay’s Center.

On the October 7 season premiere edition of SmackDown, former NXT stars Santos Escobar, Cruz Del Toro and Joaquin Wilde of Legado Del Fantasma made their main roster debut alongside Zelina Vega.

At the Extreme Rules event, NXT Champion Bron Breakker and Nikkita Lyons were seen sitting in the crowd at the show.

It seems like there is more crossover with the NXT talent with the main roster ahead of tonight’s Raw.

Per PWInsider, former NXT North American Champion Carmelo Hayes is at tonight’s Raw taping in Brooklyn at Barclay’s Center.

Hayes will be facing Cedric Alexander for WWE Main Event taping ahead of tonight’s live show.

To be fair, Melo has already taken a bit of his brilliance to the main roster having competed in a dark match at a WWE SmackDown taking in 2021 where he teamed with Trick Williams to take on Erik and Ivar of the Viking Raiders.

Hayes wasn’t the only NXT talent to be at the taping either. Another contender for the North American Championship also made an appearance.

A separate report notes that Von Wagner competed against R-Truth at the WWE Main Event taping as well.

It remains to be seen if Carmelo Hayes or Von Wagner are in line for a main roster call up.

Hayes and Wagner will compete in the five-way North American Championship Ladder Match with Oro Mensah, Wes Lee and the winner of Axiom vs. Nathan Frazier 3 at Halloween Havoc on Saturday, October 22.
