Top NXT Star Hints At Move To SmackDown Ahead Of WWE Draft

Former NXT Champion Adam Cole has hinted at a move to SmackDown ahead of the upcoming WWE Draft set to begin in August.

Cole had quite the rivalry with Pat McAfee in NXT last year, and it seems that Cole hasn’t forgotten about that.

McAfee has since gone on to become a color commentator for SmackDown, doing an excellent job by the way, but Cole doesn’t seem too happy about it.

Last night during Hell in a Cell, Cole tagged McAfee with the ” ” emoji on Twitter, and then doubled down on his disdain towards the man he beat at NXT TakeOver 30.

When the WWE on FOX Twitter account reminded Cole that he knows where to find McAfee, Cole tweeted:

You damn right I do…

Don’t ever forget…do what I want…when I want…and Pat sucks. #LifeLessonsWithAdamColeBayBay

WWE does appear to be wanting to call-up some NXT stars during the draft, as Karrion Kross (with Scarlett) and Bronson Reed both worked dark matches at the last SmackDown tapings.

Considering Cole’s booking in NXT recently has been… questionable, perhaps it’s finally time for him to move on, even if all the McAfee stuff is just him playing around.
